  • Which devices do you support?
    Guard My Phone is available on iPhones and iPads running iOS 16 or later.
  • I forgot my app passcode.
    Unfortunately, Guard My Phone does not provide a way to recover app passcodes for your privacy and security.

    Resetting Your Passcode
    If you’ve forgotten your passcode, you will need to delete and reinstall the app. This will allow you to set a new passcode.

    Important Note About Your Data

    • Local Data: Reinstalling the app will result in all locally stored data being deleted.
    • Synced Data: If you had data sync enabled, your event history and other data stored in your iCloud account can be recovered after reinstalling the app.
    We recommend enabling data sync to ensure your event history is always safely backed up in case of situations like this.
  • Can I lock my device while the app is guarding?
    Yes, we recommend locking your device when guarding is activated. The alarm will still trigger if the monitor detects activity.
  • Why isn't flash working?
    Make sure you have granted Guard My Phone camera access. See the question below for more details on camera permissions.

    Please Note
    Due to iOS restrictions, the camera's torch will only flash if the device is unlocked.
  • I have intruder snapshot enabled. Why are photos not being captured?
    When intruder snapshot is on, a photo is captured when guarding is active, and someone unlocks your device. If no photos are being taken, here are some steps to troubleshoot:

    Ensure Guarding is Active
    The intruder snapshot feature only works while Guarding is active. Check that the device monitoring is running.

    Check Camera Permissions
    Guard My Phone requires access to your camera to capture snapshots. Ensure you’ve granted the app permission to use the camera:

    • Go to Settings on your device.
    • Navigate to Guard My Phone.
    • Toggle on Camera.
  • Do you collect any of my data?
    We take your privacy seriously. Here’s how we handle your data:

    No Data Collection or Tracking
    Guard My Phone does not collect any user data or perform any tracking. All your data remains private and secure, staying either on your device or in your personal iCloud account.

    Subscription Management
    We use a third-party service to handle subscriptions. This service uses anonymous purchase data to facilitate and help manage your subscription. This data is completely anonymized and includes no personal or identifiable information.

    Complete Control Over Your Data
    Any data generated by Guard My Phone, such as history logs or snapshots, is stored locally on your phone or in your iCloud account if you’ve enabled data sync. You have full control over your data, with options to export or delete it directly from the app.

  • How can I cancel my subscription?
    Guard My Phone subscriptions are managed through Apple's platform, so you can cancel your subscription directly from your Apple ID settings. Follow these steps:

    • Open the Settings app.
    • Tap your name at the top to access Apple ID settings.
    • Tap Subscriptions.
    • Locate Guard My Phone in the list and select it.
    • Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts to confirm.
    You can cancel anytime, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
